Position Announcement: Health Assurance Sr. Veterinarian

The PIC Health Assurance Veterinarian is responsible for the implementation and communication of the PIC Health Assurance Program, including overseeing the health monitoring program, protecting the health status of production farms through oversight of biosecurity and health risk management, and improving the health of PIC herds through disease elimination programs, which enables successful delivery and utilization of superior healthy genetics to customers. This role also provides health services and solutions to support key customers.

FDA Shares New Report by Reagan-Udall Foundation on Establishing Public-Private Partnership to Collect and Analyze Antimicrobial Use Data from Food-Producing Animals

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine is announcing the availability of a report drafted by the Reagan-Udall Foundation (the Foundation) for the Food and Drug Administration entitled, Exploring the Potential for A Public-Private Partnership to Support the Tracking and Monitoring of Antimicrobial Use in Food-Producing Animals. Registration is now open for a public forum presenting findings. The report is also open for public commenting.

He will be leaving his current position at the South Dakota State Animal Disease Research and Diagnostic Laboratory on May 25.
