Nominations for AASV Board Members Sought in Five Districts

Nominations will open soon for positions on the AASV Board of Directors in Districts #1 (northeastern US), #4 (Indiana and Michigan), #6 (Iowa), #8 (Nebraska and South Dakota), and #10 (Mexico). On Friday, December 1, voting members in those districts will receive emailed links to nominate candidates for their district’s representative. Current directors Drs. Chris Rademacher (District #6) and Christine Mainquist-Whigham (#8) have each served one 3-year term of office and are eligible to serve a second term if nominated and re-elected. In District #10, Dr. Enrique Corona was recently appointed as interim director and is eligible for nomination to a first term. In District #4, Dr. Megan Inskeep has served one term but has opted not to run for a second term at this time. Dr. Melissa Billing in District #1 has served two terms and is not eligible for re-election.

Veterinary Students: Apply for Podcasting Opportunity by January 10

The American Association of Swine Veterinarians is once again providing an opportunity for 30 students to earn $200 each at the 2024 AASV Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee by conducting a recorded interview of an AASV speaker for podcasting. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to expand your knowledge and get to know a respected swine industry professional on a one-to-one basis.
