If you (or your spouse or family members) are interested in participating in the tour and have not already been placed on the waiting list, please send an email message by Friday, February 29 to aasv@aasv.org to let us know. If we receive enough responses, we’ll expand the tour and contact you. The tour features a harbor cruise of San Diego Bay, followed by lunch at Casa Guadalajara and a visit to historic Old Town San Diego. Transportation, tour guide, lunch, and gratuities are all included in the $100 per person fee. For details, see http://www.aasv.org/annmtg/2008/spouse.htm.

The briefing was attended by approximately 100 staffers. This is in advance of the release of a commission technical report (the first of eight) on antimicrobial resistance. The commission is planning a second briefing on Friday February 29th on the topic of environmental issues.
