Position Announcement: Executive Director of the Food Armor Foundation

This exciting full-time position is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the Food Armor program – an industry leading education and certification program focused on enhancing antimicrobial stewardship: foodarmor.org. The Executive Director oversees continuing education opportunities, stakeholder relationships, USDA grant obligations and applications, marketing and communications. They will be the primary spokesperson for Food Armor with the veterinary medical profession, allied groups, and industry stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for, and knowledge of antimicrobial stewardship across all food animal species, be able to multi-task and exhibit a strong ability to work independently. They will be responsible for managing the Food Armor program finances and soliciting funding. A confident professional personality is essential to the role as the position will interact with professional and industry groups, regulatory officials, and government leaders to build relationships and expand the impact of Food Armor.

DVM or equivalent required. Minimum 1-year post-DVM qualification with experience in food animal practice. Experience and success in grant writing as well as marketing will be advantageous. This position can work from anywhere in the contiguous United States.
