Fast Cars and Loose Chicks

Talk about extreme sports! What would you pay for the chance to hunt waterfowl out of the infield at the Indianapolis Speedway while driving a stockcar counterclockwise at 200 mph? Awesome, right? Unfortunately, that kind of entertainment can only be found in a few select locations in the rural southeast. But, luckily we’ve got the next best thing.

You can start out in July at the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race in Indianapolis if you’re the winning bid on a trip for four donated to the 2011 AASV Foundation auction by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica. This package includes 4 GRANDSTAND tickets on the main straightaway PLUS 4 hospitality passes for the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Speedway on Sunday, July 31, 2011! The hospitality passes include upscale food and beverages, pre-race pit tour, and official lanyards. You’ll also receive hotel accommodations for your group: 2 rooms for 2 nights.

Then, sometime in October when you stop being dizzy from watching the cars go round and round, you and three friends can take part in a three-day guided waterfowl hunting experience of a lifetime thanks to Culley Wilson and the good folks at Animal Science Products, Inc. The hunt will take place in Bottineau County, North Dakota, where the Central Flyway’s migration begins. This package includes lodging, a daily guide, and all gear required to ensure a safe and successful hunt. You can expect to shoot your limits of mallards and pintails daily from agricultural fields, as well as a wide array of goose species. Additionally, the area provides some fantastic upland hunting for pheasant, sharptail grouse, and Hungarian partridge.

If neither of these puts your pedal to the metal or trips your trigger, take a few minutes to visit all the other great donations we have listed on the 2011 AASV Foundation Auction web site. And, there’s still time to get those donations submitted. It’s easy to do, simply complete a donation form and send it in. Thanks to the generous donations of our members and friends, all proceeds go directly to support AASV Foundation programs including scholarships, student travel, research and much more.
