Nine teams have already registered for the AASV Foundation Midwest Golf Outing, but we have room for more! Registrations are due August 6 for the fundraising event, scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 at the Ames Golf and Country Club in Ames, Iowa. Gather your golf gear, assemble a team, and submit your registration, available here. Pfizer Animal Health (Golf Hole Sponsor) and Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health (Golf Hole Sponsor) have joined Elanco Animal Health (Luncheon Sponsor) and Applied Biosystems (Beverage Sponsor) in providing financial support for the event, enabling proceeds from the event to fund AASV Foundation programs and activities.
Golfer check-in begins at 9:00 am the day of the event. Refreshments will be provided, along with an opportunity to hit a few practice balls on the driving range. The best-ball team competition begins with a shotgun start at 10:00 am. Box lunches and beverages will be supplied on-course, and a reception will follow the golfing to recognize team and individual contest winners. Registration includes 18 holes of best-ball golf, cart rental, morning refreshments, lunch, and the concluding reception with awards.
A golf invitation is a great way to recognize and spend time with valued clients, friends, and family members. Individuals and couples are welcome to register and will be assigned to a team.
The AASV Foundation administers a variety of programs, including Veterinary Student Scholarships, the Hogg Scholarship, and the Howard Dunne and Alex Hogg Memorial Lectures. In addition, the Foundation provides funding for swine research, travel stipends for students attending the AASV Annual Meeting, and swine externship grants for veterinary students.
