Farm Bill Becomes Law

Congress voted to override the Presidential Farm Bill veto on May 22nd.

Officially known as the Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008, 14 of 15 Farm Bill Titles were enacted into law by large bi-partisan margins in both the House and the Senate. The bill’s Trade Title was inadvertently left out of the official copy of the bill submitted to the President and will be enacted at a later date.

The remaining titles are now law and the Administration can begin implementing the new programs and policies immediately.
