Russia Bans Pork Imports

Russia has banned the importation of pork products from four U.S. plants citing findings of tetracycline residues in imported meat.

The plants involved include two Tyson Foods facilities, Storm Lake, IA and Logansport, IN, and two Farmland Foods plants located in Crete, NE and Monmouth, IL.

The ban takes effect on May 5 and product can continue to be shipped from these 4 plants until that date. No other plants were affected. USDA is working with Russian officials to determine the specifics associated with the ban.
