Position Announcement: Farm Research Veterinarian
Revivicor, Inc., a biotechnology company, seeks a Farm Research Veterinarian responsible for overall management of farm research activities related to the production of transgenic pigs for therapeutic use in human patients. Critical responsibilities include the establishment and expansion of research herds via assisted reproduction, including embryo transfer of nuclear transfer-derived embryos, semen collection methods, and standard breeding. Maintenance of herd health through vaccinations, animal treatments, serological testing and overall herd biosecurity is a critical aspect of the position. The candidate is expected to actively maintain cross-functional interdepartmental and external relationships in order to ensure breeding objectives meet the end goals of the scientist and/or business partner. Will play a key role in overall direction of the research farm activities since the Farm Manager will report directly into this position. Additional responsibilities include vigilant maintenance of documentation for each animal to ensure compliance to quality and regulatory systems. This individual must have strong team building, mentoring, motivating and leadership skills that constantly maintain focus on project goals and critical time dependent deadlines.
